Foldover

Experimental

Sync folders between Mac disks, NAS shares, SFTP servers and other Macs, previewing every change first.

Assessed by its author; a beta is in preparation. Back up data before syncing it.

Replaced and deleted files go to an archive, conflicts wait for you, and syncs can be undone. Other Macs pair with a code and sync encrypted over the LAN. A background agent keeps syncing with the window closed, and a command-line tool is included. No cloud or account. Requires macOS 27 on Apple silicon.

Foldover previewing synthetic folder changes and conflicts beside its pair list and inspector — Sample folders and sync changes.
